Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of Belize Career (belizecareer.com and app.belizecareer.com), a job board and recruiting service. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them.

Accounts

• You must give accurate information and keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• You must be old enough to work legally in Belize to create a candidate account.
• We may suspend accounts that break these terms, post misleading jobs, or misuse candidate information.

For job seekers

• When you apply to a job, the employer (or, for jobs we recruit for, our recruiters and then the hiring company) can see your application, profile and the CV you attach. See our Privacy Policy.
• Belize Career doesn't guarantee interviews, offers or employment, and isn't the employer of anyone hired through the site.
• Never pay an employer to apply for a job. Report anything suspicious to us.

For employers

• Job posts must describe real, lawful positions in good faith and comply with the Labour Act and other Belize law, including on discrimination.
• Paid listings go live once we confirm your payment and run for the period of the package you bought. Fees are non-refundable once a listing is published, unless we remove it in error.
• Use candidate information only to recruit for the role they applied to. Don't copy, resell or contact candidates for unrelated purposes.
• For agency-managed roles, candidate contact details are shared at placement, and you agree not to bypass Belize Career to hire a candidate we introduced.

Offers, contracts and compliance tools

Offer, contract and compliance features are tools to help you document an agreement. Belize Career isn't a party to employment contracts, isn't an employer of record, and doesn't give legal advice. Typed-name signatures record agreement within the platform but aren't a certified electronic signature service. Compliance checklists are informational. Take professional advice where needed.

Acceptable use

Don't scrape the site, upload malware, impersonate others, post unlawful content, or try to get into accounts or data you're not authorized to access.

Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, Belize Career isn't liable for indirect losses or for the conduct of employers or candidates using the site. Our total liability to an employer is limited to the fees paid in the previous three months.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of Belize. Questions: belizecareer@gmail.com.
