Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Belize Career collects, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account details: name, email, phone, and your password (stored only as a one-way hash).
• Profile and CVs (candidates): work history, education, skills, languages, links and the documents you upload.
• Applications and hiring activity: jobs you apply to, screening answers, messages, interview times, offers and contracts.
• Company and billing details (employers): company profile, orders and payment references. We don't collect card numbers; payment is by bank deposit.
• Technical data: IP address and browser details, used for security such as rate limiting and sign-in protection.

How we use it

• To run the service: your account, applications, job posts and recruiting.
• To email you about your account and activity (application updates, messages, interviews, payments) and job alerts you set up. You can unsubscribe from alerts at any time.
• To keep the platform secure and prevent fraud.

We don't sell your personal information.

Who can see your information

• Employers you apply to see your application, profile and the CV you attached.
• Our recruiterscan search candidate profiles to find people for roles we recruit for. When we put you forward to a client company, they see your professional profile, but not your phone, email or social links until you're placed.
• Service providers who host or deliver the service for us (cloud hosting and file storage, and our email delivery provider), only for that purpose.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in securely. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. Documents attached to an application are kept so the employer has the version you sent. Ask us to delete your account and we'll remove or anonymize your data, except where we must keep records (for example billing).

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your profile, remove documents, and turn off job alerts in the app. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, email belizecareer@gmail.com.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, CVs and documents are stored privately and only served to authorized users, and access is restricted by role.

Changes

We'll update the effective date above when this policy changes, and tell you about significant changes.
